Oh My Gosh – I love this print!!! I’m gonna print it 40×64 for my studio so pop into see it next time you’re driving along Seymour Hwy! If you’re interested in an art portraiture of your own call me at #224-1951!
I don’t “plan” my art portraiture portraits – they really unfold on their own, I think that’s why they’re so much fun to create! I do however talk to you about the feel you’re looking for, the subject matter, your home decor, etc. A lot of thought, time and creativity go into each print.
My goal for the Art Portraiture is to offer you a piece of ART where subject matter is people you love. It’s one of my favorite things to do! Click on the sidebar “Creative Prints” for more examples! What a fun way to spend a few rainy days!
Thanks Kimberly & Rex for trusting me with this image of your beautiful girls! ~Micki

Well, as you can see (those of you who check regularly) I did some catching up tonight – finally got ALMOST caught up on some blogs – thanks for your patience those of you who are posted below.
Today I took some time during a break in the rain and went outside with “G”. I had just finished a shoot so what luck – I had my camera handy! We took off to the mailbox at the end of our cul-de-sac and ended up SOAKED.
Confession: It was a BLAST – I ended up running my camera back home so I could join in with my boy. Turns out the 15 minute clean up is sooooooooo worth the 15 minutes of splashing.

Matching tatoos – cool huh?
Meet Alisa & CJ. Alisa is near and dear to my heart, she was my babysitter when I was literally taking pictures in my playroom and printing my business cards on my home printer, then she became (and still is) my friend. Now – I get to know CJ too! This couple is blessed already, I’m excited to shoot your bridals & wedding soon!

It’s time for Sr. pictures! Thanks for being a good sport Bryant – it was fun meeting you!

We did little Matthews shoot for his Naked Baby Book yesterday – what an absolute cutie he is and as all of us moms of boys will appreciate – Matthew made a big-little discovery during our shoot! God love little boys!

I’m not one for blogging without a photo but I wanted to get this on this morning before finishing my first cup of coffee!!
I’t Monday morning and it’s raining! Normal people get sad in the rain – photographers love it because it makes the grass green, it gets the bluebonnets to pop out and let’s be honest – a work day.
I’m thinking with this rain today I’ll be making my calls from my Bluebonnet list today/tomorrow. I’m going out to my “spot” to see how it’s looking and then go from there (again – I can’t do much before my morning cup of coffee……or three!)
So – how about a freebee?!?! Do you know of a good bluebonnet spot? If so e-mail me and I’ll shoot you for FREE! I”m ready to mix it up a bit. You know me – I hate doing the same thing twice and I’m always up for a new location!
Happy Rainy Monday everybody! ~M

Oh my goodness the curls never stop!
I could have continued shooting Taylor for HOURS – we had that perfect cloudy day with sun peeking through the clouds every now and then. Taylor warmed up to the camera immediately (go figure right?!?!)
Can’t wait to show your mommy & daddy all of your pictures little Taylor – they’re BEAUTIFUL!!!

I spent a few days in Ruidoso, NM over spring break and was lucky enough to meet the Mullarky family. We had soooooo much fun – they are leaving NM soon so we went to their favorite spot along the river (which was COLD due to snow melt) and we just let the boys be boys. It was FANTASTIC!
Thanks Neal & Sandy – it was a joy to meet your family!

Ok – so my friend Deedra (Something New Photography) is always telling me to blog my kids – so finally here ya go D.
I’m doing volunteer work at School For Little People at First United Methodist this week so Garrett joined me yesterday morning and was more than happy to play in the outside area while I took pictures of the little kiddos. Here are a few I got of MY kiddo between classes.
PS – Don’t let these fool you – he is ALL boy and ALL of four years old but I love every inch of him.
