They’re finally married so I can show this off now.
Just something fun we did during Lindseys bridals. Can’t get one of these princess dresses without having a little bit of fun in Adobe!!! Man I love my job.

Close-up so you can see the editing! I “painted” her dress so it you can’t see where one photo starts and the other ends….very fun!

Oh My Gosh – what fun I had this morning. I had a maternity shoot with Mary who was up for anything, we did 5-6 different looks, we draped and changed and played with light and just let the creativity go. It was a blast and we got some really fun & different looks, thanks Mary for being up for anything!
Here are a few of my favs on first glance, I have a feeling I”m gonna be “playing” with some and they’ll be blogged later in the week.
See the photo above? It’s the result of some “playing”, the photo below is the original…..too much fun!

That’s the compliment I got from a grooms brother last night.
I did a viewing for Darin and Liz Ryan last night ad Darin was being very complimentary of Jess & I, but the thing he said that made me erally smile is that Jess & I were “Camando Photographers” I guess they didn’t expect us to literally, stand on chairs, lay on the ground, get inside small spaces between plants and lights…..nope, no tripod for me. lol
Just thought I’d share, it made me smile.

….otherwise known as the worlds longest blog! I suddenly got slammed with work so instead of making the composite blogs I’m gonna be lazy and upload full images…..(it’ll probably be like this until after the Christmas rush gang.)
I love a wedding that has a story and theirs did. They had pastors officiating that knew the couple for years, the ceremony had moments that were religious, funny and spontanious. Lindsey had a princess dress and Justin was as cool as a cucumber…..and it didn’t hurt that I had Jess AND Kelly there shooting with me….LOTS of photos to go through – here are a few of my favs.
Details, details, details

Before the wedding we had some fun…will we ever get tired of boys walking with attitude or girls jumping with glee?

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Dora glasses

Before the ceremony we had some fun with light and stole D’s door pose…..I had to put a “micki lighting flare” on it – but the idea is totally D from Something New.

After “the kiss” the guys gave them ratings…..very cute.

Thanks Justin & Lindsey! It was a fun day and I was honored to be trusted with your photos! ~Micki, Jess & Kelly

Yeah – Texas has grown on me, I’ll admit it…..but I grew up in a tiny town of 2,000 people in Kansas. I learned how to ride a horse bareback before I could ride a bike, grew up on a farm that when you came up over “the hill” (yes – in Kansas you can say “the hill” and people know which one you’re talking about) and before you was my uncle Steves 20 acre field of sunflowers. They are the KS state flower and, in my opinion, they are stunning.
The Texas bluebonnets keep me busy in the spring and I love them….but sunflowers…..they stop me in my tracks…..

You all remember Will right? For his September shoot we did “safari” complete with a lion, toy antique gun of daddies and the african safari grass……found outside of my studio.
Moms…..ya know how you want that perfect smile for pictures of your kids? That perfect no-drool, no-blemishes, looking straight at the camera photo?!?! I challenge you to let it go, afterall, look at this photo….it’s proof! For those of us out there who have kids who have outgrown the thumb-in-the-mouth-teething stages of our kids life…..trust me…..this shows the stage of development your kids are in now!
Love it for what it is, because it’s real and it’s BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks again for the smiles and grins baby-Will!

Is that a word?
Well….there was a “snag” in the studio renovation plans so my landlords have offered me a spot 2 doors down for a temporary spot. So…..I’m officially back working…..2 doors to the left of my studio.
I’m the office space that says “for rent” with the temporary M.Benoit Photography sign on the door…but it’s a space and it works… and it’s where I’ll be until my spot is finally finished!

One of the things I love about my job is I get to shoot friends. The Davis family are friends and neighbors and therefore are kind enough to get their Christmas card photos taken in September.

Thanks Tade, Laina, Brett & Channa! ~M

I’ve been doing a LOT of catch up on albums this summer!
Kids, families, weddings, you name it. I’ve kept Laura busy busy busy! I wanted to share one just so you all can see what format they are. The first photo is the cover, it wraps around front and back and is absolutely beautiful!
If you’re interested in us making an album designed specifically for you (I don’t believe in templates) let me know! They do take 4-6 weeks at the printers so in order to have them completed for Christmas I need to have your photo sessions booked in September or October! As you can imagine….these are a HIT for Christmas presents!

Thanks William for allowing me to share!
