Ok – here is the deal – I’m real busy this week taking “sexy but tasteful” photos……none of which I can blog….so unless you REALLY want me to blog my photo of the day (yawn) every day (double yawn) I have a better idea…..
Here’s the deal, I can check on you bloggers out there and although I get anywhere from 30 to 130 hits on my blog a day I never get comments…making me sad
Now – I initially didn’t have comments allowed on my blog because I was getting too much spam (again, sad-Micki)
, but now I’ve figured out how to get rid of the spam and only get comments from real humans
Happy Micki…. but I never get comments
…you get the picture.
Now – I KNOW some of you are regulars because you e-mail me.
I also KNOW some of you are new to my site….”Hi!”
So again I ponder the obvious question…. Why no Comments?
Possible Answers to my Question Include:
A) My blog stalkers aren’t used to leaving comments
B) My blog stalkers have nothing interesting, nice, funny or even “commenty” to comment on…. or
C) My blog stalkers have no fingers, thus making it very difficult to type comments.
So – in an effort, as vane as it may be, to find an answer to this question I am going to blog something……….Friday. Yes – I’m COLLECTING blog-stalkers. Check back….. if you “play” (COMMENT) I will give away FREE STUFF.
If you are not from WF and have no use for free stuff then just be a good sport, it’ll be Friday and I know at least half of you are blog-stalking during your work time, and let’s be honest shall we? Who is really ever productive on Fridays anyway?
If, on Friday nobody plays and nobody comments, then I will be left to assume that you all indeed have no fingers…. and for that I am truly sorry.
C Ya Friday!

Yes…I HAVE been doing my photo a day, but as warned….. I was waaaaaaay behind blogging them, but today I got caught up!
I’m one of the lucky ones… my husband does come home with flowers every now and then.
It made for a good “photo of the day” for a few days.

.
Thanks guys for trusting me and here is a sneak peak! The rest will be posted early next week!

I’ve had a lot of my clients during the Christmas Break tell me to “do something cool with it” (I love that). And after Christmas that’s exactly what I do, I edit! This year some of my all-time favorite kiddos, Abby & Ava Hill got a fun print for their rooms. Here is the print we made for them…..trust me….. these on canvas are sooooooooo cool!
I promised MY daughter I’d do one for HER one day.
Thanks Tracy for all of your trust!

11.13.08 Photo of the Day.
Ok – I’m in 13 days and I’m editing my own rules…oh hush…it’s my game I can edit if I want.
First I have to admit that taking a photo every day is hard. Now, granted – I could bore you all with pix of my kids EVERY DAY – but that wasn’t my thought – but the truth is I’m not artsy-fartsy every day!
So -I’m changing a rule…. I get to use Adobe.
(I know, I know, no big surprise to those of you who know me). But here is my justification…. one of the things my clients love is the stuff I do in Adobe so if I challenge myself in THAT arena too all the better right? So – with that in mind…. my kids were playing with flashlights tonight and I was playing too….

Ok – so I’ve gotten LOTS of great e-mails about my “50 things about myself” Blog, so in a continuing effort to make my blogging more personal I’m gonna TRY to Blog random thoughts on Fridays. So today……..
Favorite Sayings I’m come across in my life.
You can’t Separate the Photograph from the Experience.
I’m ashamed to tell you I don’t remember his name. It was my first photography conference I attended in 2000 (1999?!). It was in KS and he was a man from South Dakota. I fell in love with the concept of capturing GOOD TIMES. Capturing a family having fun, capturing a child laughing, not saying “cheese” but truly LAUGHING. It defined, in many ways, the way I run my business.
You spend the first 3 years of your child’s life waiting from them to walk and talk and then you spend the next 15 years of thier lives telling them to sit down and shut up.
My uncle Steve. My kids are 6 & 4 so the truth of this saying is overwhelming at times.
Whatever it is that you’re worrying about today, stop. God took care of it long before you were born.
Don’t know where it comes from but it’s based on a passage in the Bible and I love it. I struggle with it, but I love it.
Success:
To laugh often and much,
to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children.
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends,
to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition,
to know evern one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
An oldie but a goodie……seriously – if you have time, read it again. My mom gave me this saying framed when I graduated from KU, it hangs by my bath so I see it almost daily.
Sh** or get off the Pot.
Ah – my dad. If you’re not familiar (or offended) it was his way of saying – make your decision…..my dad always did have a way with words, still does in fact. Another one of my dad’s: Sometimes in life you just have to grab you a** with both hands and push. That was his way of saying “quit thinking so much and go out there and do it”. Yeah – I love my dad.
Live Strong
Lance Armstrong…..or was it Nike? Both? Regardless I thought it was a stroke of genuis…. to use the word STRONG as a way to live life. It’s so empowering, I love it.
GMTA: Great minds think alike
I love it when I’m thinking of a friend and she calls, or when I’m on YahooChat w/my friend & we type the same thing at the same time….Oh – on that same topic….another one I like…..Karma, it’s a B**** ain’t it?
God is Good.
Simple, direct, true.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
– Albert Einstein
Think Different
– Apple
Lastly – my Grandma Betty lived it, it’s on my coffee cup & even though it’s overused I love it….
Life is Good.
