Sorry gang…. there are literally no bluebonnets out this year. Last weekend my daughter & I drove to Tyler TX and I saw ONE patch right in the middle of the highway in Duncan…that was it.
So – here is what I’m doing instead this year….I have a cute little pond here in town that will make a great spring-like-photo. Granted…no…it’s not the traditional Texas Bluebonnet shoot, but it’s something!
I took “my boys” (they’re not REALLY mine, but I love ‘em as if they were) there yesterday and it was GREAT. Here are a few to show ya….

Maddox & his killer-blues…

“J-Ray”…

This photo made me laugh out loud…. this is the REAL Janson & Maddox.
Geez I love these boys…..

Ok – so is it just me or does this look like a photo of two old men?!?! Cracks me up….all they need is a deck of cards and stories to tell! (yes…you can use these chairs for your lake-shoot if you wish)

Call or e-mail me if you want a lake-shoot instead of a bluebonnet shoot!

For those of you who know the Burbage family…. you probably know that this photo is a better indicator of their personalities!

I’m doing a lot of different shoots for Seniors right now.
Deb. photos, head-shots, and some want a true Senior Photo Shoot….. Kelsey wanted a true shoot, something that would show her personality and would be totally original.
THIS is the kinda stuff you get when you go outside of the box gang.
THANK YOU Kelsey.
Thank you for trusting me!

Yes, last weekend was my birthday weekend. I celebrated my 29th birthday for the 7th time Saturday.
It was the BEST birthday ever. My daughter and I went to a mother/daughter retreat near Tyler, TX called Pinecove. It was amazing.

I let Madie take the camera for the weekend ….the entire weekend (yes – it was hard)
Here is my favorite shot that MY GIRL took…..if she doesn’t grow up to be President she just may have a future in this little business of mine.

Ok – back to real work now.

Inspiration. It’s something I talk about often and it was the backbone of my seminar yesterday.
We spent the first part of the morning shooting Kayla in the junkyard. Yes…we went “there”.

(thanks Kelly for capturing the seminar in action)
Kayla is one of those amazing models who can give you the innocent eyes, then turn mean, then give you the Ozzy-tongue-out-rockin-face within seconds of each other. The gals who came to the seminar had her ontop of tires, inside of cars, laying down, climbing and squatting, all in 3 inch heels! They went totally outside of the box and it was a blast! Here are a few of my favorites I got between helping out the others…..

Then we left the junkyard and headed inside to meet Amy, a yoga instructor, and we brought in a fan, some lights, and of course our cameras!

It was amazing to work with light, wind, the body and to work with Amy? Well, let’s just say that at one point one of the gals said, hey Amy, can you put your foot behind your head and then face away from us? “Sure, no problem” she says! Crazy!

THANK YOU to Kaya and Amy for being AMAZING models!
After our shoots we headed back to the studio for an afternoon of PhotoShop! I spent most of the afternoon talking and walking around helping…..but…here are two of the images I did put together in the teaching process.

Thanks to all of you who attended & to our models for a great day!
I hope that you all left inspired, because you inspired me.
If you are interested in attending one of my Imagine, Inspire, Ignite Seminars please feel free to contact me, I will be planning another seminar for this summer. Class size is limited to 6 to assure individual attention.
I will be blogging images & comments from the attendants sometime next week!
God Bless,
Micki
