1. Do you like blue cheese?
yellow, green, orange, yes I love blue cheese

2. Have you ever smoked?
Once in High School, then I puked. Again I tried it at a bar in college and puked. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed but I am smart enough not to try it again.

3. Do you own a gun?
No, but my son knows karate thanks to the Power Rangers so bad-guys beware.

4. What flavor Kool Aid was your favorite?
All of them and I discovered in 4th grade that if you mix them all up it’s especially fun and a deep purple color.

5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments?
ever since Dr. Lamar said “no Micki, it’s true, you’re gonna have a baby”……..yes.

6. What do you think of hot dogs?
It’s Gods way of making up for real foods like brocolli & carrots.

7. Favorite Christmas movie?
Grinch the Stole Christmas and the OLD Rudolf movie.

8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning?
Coffee Coffee and more Coffee

9. Can you do push ups?
lol. Yes….wait….it’s still a push up if you’re on your knees with your a** up in the air isn’t it?

My job is my hobby – so now….hum…..I need to get a life.

Hello – it’s the last day of school and I have 8 2nd graders coming over for my daughters b-day party at 1:00!

My current “annoyance?” Political crap on the news.

19. Favorite place to be?
On the boat on a calm summer day with my family and close friends……or Hawaii

20. How did you bring in the New Year?
Pre kids – wild and fun.
Post Kids – in bed, watching the ball fall, turning over and falling asleep by 12:04am

21. Where would you like to go?
Other than back to bed? Target. Hawaii. Find a Target in Hawaii & I’m in heaven.

Oh geez – I’m lucky if any of you read it this far.

23. Do you own slippers?
Oh yeah – I live in them during the winter…I once went to the gym in my slippers & didn’t realize it until I was in the door and heading towards the treadmill. No kidding.

24. What color shirt are you wearing right now?
So glad you asked! My fav. “working at home” shirt. It’s my husbands t-shirt from a Hootie & the Blowfish concert we went to in 1994.

25. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets?
No way – satin sheets are for sexy-time only…. then get them off and give me my t-shirt jersey ones I got at Walmart that only get softer every time I wash them.

26. Can you whistle?
Yeah but I don’t very often. Why whistle when you have an amazing singing voice like myself?

27. Favorite color?
Red!

28. Would you be a pirate?
Vikki (D’s buddy) sent me this and I’m gonna steal her answer… ” Oh yeah, boats, water and rum!”

“Hey Hey You You…I don’t like your girlfriend, no way, no way, I think you need a new one……”

Madelyn, although I wanted to name her Taryn.

Garrett & Matt (I wanted to name him Garrett and he’s the love of my life)

No pockets, but usually it’s my cell

My girl. She woke up and came out of her room and wished me a happy last day of school while yawning and scratching her tummy.

OMG – that is a memory I’ve not revisited in forever! My brown horse sheets!!!!!!

Car accident when I was young

If you are a close friend, my husband or my mom you know all about my “random thoughts” e-mails…. It’s when I sit down to the computer with a bunch of unconnected thoughts and get them all down at once.

Well….here are my random thoughts as of late.

Summer hours. The plan is to have someone at the studio working Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays this summer. Kelly and I will be popping in on Mondays and Fridays as needed.

Summer hours disclaimer. Between Kelly and my schedules, vacations, soccer camps, VBS & life in general we’re gonna be pretty hit and miss on those above mentioned studio days so best to call first. To be 100% honest – I try to kick back a bit during the summer and really enjoy my kids while they’re still young. I figure one day too soon they’ll both be driving and have “significant others” that they prefer to be around during the summer months….and when that happens I can work lots June-August. But, as long as they still think that I can fix any scuffed up knee and daddy can beat up any bad-guy that might enter into a dream…..I’m taking full advantage of that.

My phone….otherwise known as my #)($&# phone this week…..it’s on the fritz so e-mail me this week, don’t call… I’m in the process of getting it fixed and the SECOND the iPhone comes down in price I’m there.

Speaking of i-toys…. I’m buying a new Mac laptop tomorrow. Horray for new toys with apples on them!

Memorial Weekend thoughts. I hope you all had a great weekend, we had a day on the lake, a day at home and two days at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine (very cool and fun). My daughter turned 8, my in-laws celebrated 36 years of marriage and hopefully we all took a moment to pray a prayer of thanks for our freedom.

Speaking of Memorial Weekend….did anyone else do the first annual crap-i-have-to-wear-a-swimsuit-in-public-thing this weekend? Does that EVER get easier?

Oh admit it…. you did the hand wave thing in your head…….

Is this tacky? Probably but oh well. My husband has been talking about selling his truck for a new one since….well….FOREVER! I can’t complain b/c since I drive the “mom-car” anytime we’ve bought cars it’s usually to update the needs for the family, and Matt (God love him) has always settled with something that fits the budget. Well, unless God has a really sick sense of humor we are done popping out babies so now it’s his turn and this weekend we’re gonna trade in the truck for a new truck for Matt!

More importantly, and I say this with all of the love in my heart for my man. He’ll quit talking about it.

Anyway – we had a guy who was gonna buy our truck for his son and he changed his mind….so if anyone out there is interested in a 1999 Chevey 1/4 ton truck with 117,000 miles on it call or email me. The truck is in good condition & we’ll give you a rockin deal on it.

Oh – and if you’re on my blog I’m assuming it’s because you love photos…not trucks….so I’ll also throw in a free photo shoot and all of the negatives from the shoot ($800 value) at no cost.

I am having fun this spring breaking a few photography rules….as a photographer we’re always looking for that perfect filtered light, those perfect shady spots…but wow – I love what you get when you break the rules and put your couple right smack into the harsh sunlight.

And sometimes… you see the sky and you want that ONE photo with THAT sky…but it’s all of the photos that lead up to getting that ONE photos that rock.
