Connor is Months Old!
It’s AMAZING how much a little boy can grow in a month!
Connor was so happy and strong and amazing during his shoot!
What fun it’s gonna be to watch him grow up every month!
This month we went for COLOR!

Sometimes ya gotta draw a line in the sand…and other times it’s best to draw circles in the grass.
G is really coming a “Daddy’s Boy” as of late…so this weekend Matt let him “help” mow.
Maybe it’s just me….but I think it’s a sign of a good daddy when he lets go of the “straight-lines” effect in his yard for “the smile” effect on the face of his son.
Hope you all had a great weekend – one full of swirlies and ear-to-ear-grins.

Sometimes ya gotta kiss a few frogs before you find your prince….
Frog: Found outside. Compliments of the cutie-flower-girl.
Kiss & Prince: Compliments of Andy
Here are the facts:
Bride – Talya is one of the coolest chicks I’ve ever met. She is the sister of last years groom Chase of Chase & Aubree (another very cool chick btw).
Groom – Andy who I met at the wedding and liked within 2 minutes of meeting him because of his hilarous t-shirt.
Location – beautiful Wichita Mountains on a day God meant for a wedding.
So I get to the wedding, greet everybody, and Talya looks at me, winks and says “want to see my shoes?!?!”
Told ya she was a cool chick.
Boys…….just as cool.
So – I got to work…..oh, guess I should have mentioned too – Talya is rockin’ gorgeous.
Finally – it’s “time.”
The entire time she was getting ready Talya kept saying “I just can’t wait….I just can’t wait to be married!”
Pure Joy.
I couldn’t hear what Andy said to her….but based on this photo & his personality I’m guessing it went something like this: “Baby, you look gooooooooooood!!!”
Right before the ceremony the flowergirl/collector-of-the-frogs decided “nope, not gonna walk down that isle” and since this wedding was all about two people getting married everyone figured out that it was ok. The problem was….half-way through the ceremony, she decided maybe she wanted to do it after-all.
Beautiful ceremony.
Simply beautiful.
Time for a few posed pix – and by a few I mean a few – and by posed I mean….not very posed.
Told ya she was a cool chick!!
Ok – now about Andy and Talya……they wanted to sneak away for some fun pix of just them. They didn’t care how long we took and they didn’t care where I brought them. Their love for each other was….what is the word…..
It was intoxicating.
They had fun, they laughed, they joked, and I never had to tell them to kiss….
I could have spent all evening with them…but since people did travel across state-lines to attend their wedding we went back to the party for some socializing, some cake, some champaign and some dancing with mommy….
….and some dancing with each other. I got goosebumps taking this photo. T & A were dancing, kissing and laughing, then all of a sudden the world around them disappeared and they buried their faces into each other.
Some pictures don’t needs faces to tell the story of love.
So the party wound down, I hugged everyone good-bye and gave God a quick little “thanks for my job” prayer….then I saw these on the table. I laughed outloud….cause for 4-5 hours I’d been watching T & A kiss and never heard a single ring.
Thank you both for trusting me with your wedding day Andy & Talya.
You’re an inspiration and I have loved getting to know you and your families.
God Bless.

The legs that kept going…& going….& going….& going….& going………………………………
5th time’s a charm…..
Nope.
Not exagerrating.
It took us 5 reschedules to get in Susan’s shoot with her son Adam.
First it was just plain ‘ole too cold, then it rained, then somebody was sick, then it was windy & finally we had a day that nothing went wrong! Yes – flexibility is a virtue!
Adam is all boy and by that I mean ALL BOY, it’s my favorite kind…rock throwing, tree climbing, rail-road running kind!! Susuan just chilled out the entire shoot saying “that’s my boy!” But seriously….could you ever get frustrated with this set of eyes?!?!
Thanks Susan for being so persistent and sticking with me to get this shoot done!
We’ll talk soon and get “the” photo for your wall!

“I do”….again
This post is 100% personal.
Nothing professional about it.
I am neighbors to Jeff & MaryAnn Roach. We moved into our home next door to theirs 7 years ago, they greeted us with pizza and helped up unpack boxes.
Since then they have lived alongside us, literally and figuratively, as we both have changed jobs, increased family size, lost pets & endured growing joys and pains.
We share a fence, but we share our lives also…..and I cannot begin to tell you how much they mean to Matt & I, as well as to our kids.
This year Jeff & MaryAnn will celbrate 25 years of marriage. To honor that Jeff planned a surprise vow-renewal ceremony for MaryAnn. It was in a friends backyard surrounded by what he called his “Wichita Falls Family” all seated on blankets as we witnessed Jeff & MaryAnn saying “I do……again”
This is my favorite photo I snapped of the evening. MaryAnn being greeted by her kids as they beam with pride as they kept the secret and Jeff….simply beaming.
Love.
I’m lucky to have you as neighbors.
I’m honored to know you.
I’m blessed beyond words to call you friends.
I love you both, congratulations on 25 years…..and here’s to 25 more.
