1. I hate having my picture taken.

2. Some of the best photos I’ve ever taken are mistakes.

3. I looooooooove coffee.  Like really really really love it.

4. When I clean the house I open the windows, put music on way too loud and dance to the kinda music I would never let my kids listen to.

5. I know it’s cliche’ but I really did marry my best friend.

6. I’m a cat person (don’t tell my lab)

7. I think farts are hilarious and burps are gross.

8. When I’m on the highway stopped out of respect for a funeral procession and other people drive on by without stopping…. I say a little prayer for a flat tire for those people.

9. When I was a teenager kids used to make fun of the way I run.  Mostly because I run like Phoebe on “Friends”.

10. I was born & raised in a small Kansas town of 2,000 people. I learned to ride a horse before a bike, & had wild geese as pets.

11. As a photographer I am 100% self-taught (well… aside from countless conferences, books, magazine articles & time behind the camera)

12. The above statement is both the source of my greatest pride & the most frequent source of self-doubt.

13. I get nervous if I have to do math in-front of people.

14. I love a glass of wine (or 3) in the evenings

15. I read the Twilight Series…twice….ok ok – three times.

16. I don’t read parenting books, parenting magazines, health magazines or beauty tips but I’ll go into debt

to read People every week.

17.  I believe in angels

18. I sometimes eat peanut butter with chocolate chips in it….if there are no chocolate chips in the house I will substitute chocolate syrup.

19. My mom is really the only person I aspire to be like.

20. I was a Chemistry major in college, then I got my Masters degree in Speech Therapy.

21. I can’t remember the chemical composition of Helium & I paid a speech therapist to treat my son for a year.

22. I’m tired of talking about myself & wondering if this is really  ”personal, fun & creative” or just self-indulgent…

23. I am private but passionate about my faith

24.  I love thunderstorms and hate the cold.

25. If I could do anything really really well it would be yoga.  Well…yoga & photography.

26. If you ask me “do you floss” I’ll say “yes”.  Having said that – I don’t floss.

27. I’m fiercely competitive at sports even though I suck at most of them

28. I love Mexico but hate the feel of sand in my flip-flops.

29. Speaking of flip-flops….I own too many to count.  Every spring my husbands threatens to put me on a flip-flop-reduction-program….every summer he fails miserably.

30. I’ve only had one other “real” boyfriend other than my husband.

31. I think I can sing……but I can’t.

32. I cry every year on September 11th

33. In college I once won an ugly foot contest.

34. I sometimes whiten my teeth while drinking coffee

35. I’m a chronic second-guesser.  Marrying Matt is probably the only decisions in my life I’ve never second guessed.

36. I want to love to cook but I don’t

37. I don’t want to love pizza & beer on a Friday …but I do.

38.  I truly love my in-laws.

39. If I thought I could get away with it I’d burn my bras.  Not as a political statement or anything, I just don’t like them.

40. My husband still flirts with me and I love that

41. I love my children but sometimes I just have to tell them to shut up.

42. I don’t take myself very seriously and it annoys me when others do

43. My grandmother was a triplet and I always wanted to have twins.

44. I think the 80s’ rocked. The hair, the music, the neon…. all of it.

45. My daughter is one of the best thing that’s ever happened to me

46. My son is SO MUCH easier than my daughter

47. I’ve previously worked as a lifeguard, a nanny, a house-cleaner & a waitress

48. I love lists, post-it-notes and highlighters.
